Our 10th annual "Day to Fight Cancer" was held Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Plymouth State University in Central New Hampshire. Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed! Read two news articles that have been published.

Produced by Keeping You, Me, and Memories Alive, Inc., a Plymouth, New Hampshire based 501(c)3 non-profit organization, our "Day to Fight Cancer" is an annual event that provides aid and support to individuals and families who are battling cancer and who live in the Central New Hampshire area, as well as family members of those who have succumbed to cancer.

The event, including entertainment and a Dollar Sale, is hosted by Plymouth State University (PSU) in partnership with local community members and businesses.

Top 2009 Walking Teams: PSU Women's Ice Hockey, Michelle's Team, PSU Swimming & Diving, and Marietta's Angels.

Top Individual Walkers for 2009: Jim Merrill, Vera Ware, Tracey Burhoe, and Ginny Coombs. (See photos from events held in previous years.)

Thanks to the support of our many friends and neighbors, we raised nearly $23,000 through our 2009 event, bringing our ten-year fund raising total to more than $158,000.

Keeping You, Me, and Memories Alive, Inc. received a $1,000. community grant in December 2005. In 2007, we received a $250. grant from Walmart. (Click for details and a photo.)

For ten years, our "Day to Fight Cancer" has benefited people in the communities of Ashland, Alexandria, Bridgewater, Bristol, Campton, Dorchester, Ellsworth, Groton, Hebron, Holderness, Lincoln, New Hampton, Plymouth, Rumney, Thornton, Warren, Waterville Valley, Wentworth and Woodstock, New Hampshire.

In 2008, we made 55 gifts to local families with groceries, gas, heating oil, back-to-school clothes and supplies, furnace repairs, utility bills, and "feel good items." We provided assistance to seven PSU students for the purchase of textbooks and two Plymouth Regional High School students who are venturing off to college.
