2nd Annual "Shave For A Cure" Event Raises $10,000
(Hair stylist Kris Comeau shaves the head of Gloria Kimball. Photo courtesy of Record Enterprise.) St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity that funds research to find cures for childhood cancers. All of KYMMA's proceeds benefit people in Central New Hampshire whose lives have been affected by cancer. Hair that measured ten inches or longer was donated to Locks of Love, a non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under age 18 suffering from long-term medical hair loss. The NC Blues Co. performed live music. Britta Puffer, Kris Comeau, and Sondra Murray of Britta's Hair Studio were volunteer shavers. Special thanks to event organizers, Jen Leonzi of The Country Cow and Rob McAfee of Brother Dave's Builders and member of KYMMA's Board of Directors.
